Dog Missing For 3 Years Reunites With Sister Of Late Owner ; Emotional Moment

The advancement of microchips has made it possible for lost dogs to be reunited with their families, even after being missing for an extended period of time.

A heartwarming reunion took place when a dog, named Bentley, was discovered on the streets after being lost for 3.5 years. This emotional moment was intensified by the fact that the dog’s owner had already passed away.

Whiskers, Tails & Scales Transport shared a post on Facebook detailing Bentley’s journey from being a stray in Philadelphia to finding a new home at ACCT Philly.

Bentley miraculously made his way from his original residence in Memphis, Tennessee to Philadelphia. It was reported that he went missing when his owner’s sister, Dee, fell on the sidewalk while taking him for a walk.

Unfortunately, Bentley’s owner passed away in the intervening years. However, Dee never gave up hope of finding the lost dog and recently received the incredible news that he had been located at last.

ACCT Philly shared on Facebook, “When we informed her that Bentley was in Philadelphia, she was overwhelmed with joy and filled with emotions.”

For Dee, this reunion not only meant being reunited with her long-lost companion but also having a piece of her late sister back. ACCT Philly expressed, “She wanted to reclaim Bentley as he is all she has left of her sister.”

Due to the considerable distance, ACCT Philly collaborated with Whiskers, Tails & Scales Transport to ensure Bentley’s safe return to his family.

Dee’s reunion with Bentley brought her immense joy, and the transport company referred to it as a poignant and unforgettable moment in their history.

In a recent update, the company shared that both Dee and Bentley are thriving, and Dee’s supervisor has kindly permitted her to bring the dog to work.

“Bentley is currently on duty, and we have arranged a cozy spot exclusively for him, although he prefers to lie right at Dee’s feet,” they stated.

Furthermore, they mentioned that Bentley is deaf, but he relies on vibrations and comprehends basic sign language commands.

It is truly a lovely reunion. It is saddening that Bentley never had the chance to see his deceased owner once more, but we are relieved that he has now returned home to bring happiness and solace to the family 💔❤️.
