City of San Antonio Animal Services took custody of the three dogs, describing them as “gentle but understandably anxious and timid due to the separation from their owner.”

Given their evident anxiety and strong bond with one another, it was decided they should not be separated. Missy graciously agreed to accommodate all three dogs, offering them a warm and caring temporary shelter until their owner’s recovery. She noted that although the dogs were initially nervous, they displayed unmistakable signs of relief upon leaving the shelter.
