Yet, this tale of rescue was merely unfolding its initial chapters. Following the relocation of the dog, Princess, to the rescue facility, the Tennessee Highway Patrol took to its social media platforms to share the case.

On its Facebook page, the highway patrol stated :

“On a scorching summer afternoon, an alert patrolman responded to a distressed puppy, thanks to a compassionate bystander. The poor pup was severely dehydrated and in dire need of water and shade along the side of #Interstate75. Now under the loving care of Cleveland TN Animal Control, this adorable pup is getting the attention she deserves. Officer Tudors’ provision of water and snacks was a gesture deeply appreciated by the pup.”

Princess, suffering from a hip fracture, underwent necessary treatment upon arrival at the rescue center, as confirmed by a veterinary examination. Facing her ordeal, she found solace in the company of Officer Tudors, who developed a strong affection for her. Eventually, Officer Tudors made the heartfelt decision to legally adopt Princess into his family, cementing her place as a beloved member.

The road crew stated :

“The rescued puppy, once under the care of Patrolman Tudors, has now found a loving home. Fondly dubbed #Princess by her new family, she continues to receive care at the facility until arrangements can be made for her to move to her permanent residence.”
