Brave Husky Found A Box Full Of Abandoned Kittens In The Forest And Adopted Them
Banner, the service dog, embodies compassion and dedication. Not only does she diligently assist her owner, Whitney Braley, with her handicap, but she also possesses a remarkable talent for rescuing and nurturing other animals in distress.
Since Banner was a puppy, Whitney has nurtured and trained her to fulfill a multitude of tasks, aiding not only Whitney but also others in need.
According to Whitney, Banner’s abilities extend to alerting to PTSD episodes, anxiety attacks, headaches, guiding, providing momentum pull, retrieving medicine, and interrupting self-harm, among other tasks.
Whitney shared with Bored Panda, “Banner has an innate connection with kittens, and together, we engage in numerous rescue missions.” Banner’s nurturing nature came to light when she nursed her first bottle-fed kitten, discovered abandoned in a ditch two years ago. Since then, she has lovingly raised at least ten different litters of kittens, demonstrating her exceptional caregiving skills. This instance marks a new experience for her, reflecting her unwavering commitment to helping animals in need.
“What she stumbled upon was truly heart-wrenching. Deep in the woods lay a sealed cardboard container containing seven fragile newborn kittens, no more than a day old, on the brink of succumbing to the cold. Banner, sensing something amiss, led Whitney to the spot, where they uncovered the distressing scene and tenderly rescued each kitten, one by one.
“It’s unimaginable that someone could have callously sealed these innocent creatures in a box, leaving them to perish,” Whitney shared with Metro, her voice heavy with disbelief. “They must have thought nobody would ever come across them. And as for Banner, it’s a mystery how he sensed their presence. The kittens were barely making a sound, shivering in the cold.”
“The sheer indifference and cruelty of such an act is sickening,” Whitney continued, her voice trembling with emotion. “To subject these defenseless animals to such a fate is beyond comprehension. It’s utterly reprehensible.”
Banner has hardly left the kittens’ side since, embracing them as if they were her own offspring. Whitney shared with Bored Panda, “I had her spayed when she was 1.5 years old, but her maternal instincts are truly remarkable.”
“I’m committed to finding perfect homes for these kittens, where they’ll receive endless love and care. Our local shelter euthanizes animals within three days, so I take it upon myself to foster these little ones to prevent any unfortunate outcomes.”
“It brings me immense joy to know that, thanks to Banner’s intervention, these kittens will have the chance to thrive in loving environments. It warms my heart deeply.”
